KC Parks welcomes the opportunity to host your picnics and reunions in one of our many shelters located in Coonskin, Meadowood, Pioneer, and Shawnee Parks.

Shelters at all Kanawha County, WV parks can be rented by contacting the KC Parks Office at (304) 341-8000. The Park begins taking reservations by phone the second Monday of January.  The popular shelters book very early.  Full payment is due at the time of rental.

Meadowood Park

Located on the Coal River in Tornado, WV.  Facilities include two soccer fields, shelters, and play equipment.  Restrooms available.

Pioneer Park

Located in the eastern portion of Kanawha County, WV off Route 61, adjacent to East Bank Middle School. Pioneer Park features a swimming pool, snack bar, miniature golf, and a picnic shelter area.

Shawnee Park

Located on Route 25 west of Dunbar, WV, Shawnee Park features a golf course, soccer fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, athletic field, basketball courts, a large playground, picnic shelters, and a boat ramp accessing the Kanawha River.
